Each year during this season in Dhofar Governorate, Sultanate of Oman transforms into a landscape of mist, greenery, and cool breezes after months of intense heat. Within this environment, the scent of habaq-grown around homes and garden spaces-naturally fills the air. Over time, this aroma has become closely associated with the seasonal identity of Dhofar.
Inspired by this unique connection, master perfumer Luca Maffei and junior perfumer Lorenzo Orlandi Berti, approached habaq as more than a botanical note. They saw it as a reflection of place, memory, and atmosphere. Their goal was not simply to recreate the scent of the plant, but to translate the essence of Khareef into a fragrance.
The composition was therefore designed to capture the feeling of the season itself. It evokes the freshness of greenery touched by mist, the purity of rain-soaked landscapes, and the calmness of Dhofar's cool air. Through this approach, the fragrance reflects the natural character of the region during its most celebrated time of year.
When worn, Habaq carries that refreshing sensation beyond Dhofar itself, allowing its unique atmosphere to be experience even in warmer and more humid environments.
